The Chennai Meteorological Department has warned that the temperature may be 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal at one or two places in Tamil Nadu for the next 5 days.
In this regard, in a press release issued by the Chennai Meteorological Department, it has been stated that the temperature will reach a maximum of 109 degrees Fahrenheit in the plain areas of the interior districts of Tamil Nadu for 5 days from today.
The maximum temperature is expected to reach 102 degrees Fahrenheit in the plains of other districts of Tamil Nadu.
Similarly, the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will record a maximum temperature of 99 degrees Fahrenheit, the Meteorological Department said.
For Chennai, maximum temperature of 97 degrees Fahrenheit and minimum temperature of 86 degrees Fahrenheit are likely to be recorded.
Similarly, the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will record a maximum temperature of 99 degrees Fahrenheit, the Meteorological Department said.
