The results of the 10th class public examination for the academic year 2023-24 have been released today (10.05.2024) at 9.30 am at the Government Examinations Directorate located at Prof. Anbazagan Educational Complex in Chennai. Director of Examination Sethurama Verma announced the results. Students can check their results at http://www.tnresults.nic.in, http://www.dge.tn.gov.in, https//results.digilocker.gov.in.
According to the published exam results, 91.55 percent of those who appeared for the exam across Tamil Nadu have passed. Out of 8 lakh 94 thousand 264 candidates, 4 lakh 22 thousand 591 girls and 3 lakh 96 thousand 152 boys have passed. Especially, 94.53 percent of female students have passed. 88.58 percent of students have passed.
As usual, female students passed more than male students. Accordingly, the passing rate of female students is 5.95 percent higher. Also, the score details have been sent to the mobile numbers registered in the schools so that the students can know their exam results from the comfort of their homes.
The pass rate of government aided schools is 91.77% and the pass rate of government schools is 87.90%. 87.90% government schools have 100% pass rate. Last year, 91.39% students passed, but now the pass rate has slightly increased. 96.85 people have passed in Tamil and other languages. 99.15% pass in English. 96.78% pass in Mathematics. 96.72% pass in Science. 95.74% passed in Social Science. 8 students in Tamil, 415 students in English, 20 thousand 691 students in Mathematics, 5 thousand 104 students in Science and 4 thousand 428 students in Social Science have passed with 100 percent marks.
12,491 out of 13 thousand 510 differently abled students who appeared for the 10th class general examination have passed. 92.45% of students with disabilities passed.
Among the 38 districts across Tamil Nadu, Ariyalur district topped the class 10 board examination with 97.31% passing. Sivagangai ranked 2nd with 97.02% students passing. Ramanathapuram ranked 3rd with 96.36% students passing. 4 thousand 105 schools have 100% pass rate. It includes 1364 government schools.
